Mission Statement: To educate the quilters and future quilters of Mexico of what is possible through innovation and technology. Quilting is in diapers in Mexico and we want to help change that.
Vision Statement:
To showcase the past, present and future of quilting with an International representation of the evolution of this hand-crafted artform and what is possible.
*To feature 300 quilts at our multi-cultural and multi-generation quilt festival.
*Goal is over a thousand in attendance at our inaugural event.
*To have a "hand crafted" and art boutique selling quilts and other items for the non-quilters.
*We will have a section of Made in Mazatlan items featuring independent local artists.
*To have on site and post festival classes for all skill levels.
*To have available multi-cultural tours and events to make this the most memorable quilt festival.
Our Plan:
The Past: To showcase 25 quilts that are over 100 years old. (History of quilting)
The Present: To showcase 50 quilts that have previously won ribbons in quilt shows. (The best of present)
The Future: To showcase 25 quilts created by the youth of Mazatlan & Mexico. (The future of quilting)
Actions needed to meet our goals:
We will reach out to individuals, Quilt groups and Quilt Guilds for entries to be judged for cash and other prizes. Have double booth for promotion at Pacific International Quilt  Festival.  Potential tens of thousands of quilters. By Nov. 1, 2018 have all applications and schedules finalized and our websites and Facebook pages updated.
